Procurement & Fleet Officer

Experienced Procurement & Fleet Officer required for reputable electrical company.

About the Company:

A leading provider of electrical services, this well-established Australian owned company has government and energy utility clients across Australia with an excellent reputation for service and quality, operating field service teams in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.

About the Role:

Seeking a results orientated person with an in-depth knowledge of procurement of products and services including labour hire and fleet requirements. Able to identify opportunities for savings as well as awarding supplier tenders and supervising the performance of contractors. You will be professional in your approach and presentation, with excellent negotiation and influencing skills, you are well organised and able to prioritise tasks.

Duties:

  • Negotiate with suppliers as directed by the Executive team
  • Evaluate industry pricing and supply trends
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of requests for tenders from suppliers
  • Maintain supplier database
  • Monitor supplier contract performance (service levels)

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in researching and determining cost effective outcomes
  • Experience in tendering and benchmarking services
  • Strong track record of achieving objectives related to the position
  • Ability to negotiate good outcomes for all concerned parties
  • Outstanding analytical skills including preparation of spreadsheets and budgets.
